July Adventures

We spent our fourth of July weekend chilling with the Zabriskie family in Idaho Falls. We filled our holiday with badminton and Mark's skin color sure reflected the fun he had, mostly playing against Adam. Adam and Eden decided we should have a murder mystery party. Mark ended up being the killer, though he accidentally killed my "sister" when he meant to kill me. Then we spent the evening watching the fireworks. They were very impressive! We are grateful the Zabriskies were willing to let us join them.

We spent the next weekend/week commuting between Logan and Tremonton. Mike and Kristin headed out east with Adam, Eden, and Zaida, so we took care of the farm while they were gone.

For the twenty fourth of July holiday we made our way to Bountiful to spend time with the Perry's. While we were down that direction we had the chance to attend the Oquirrh Mountain Temple Open House. The Temple is absolutely gorgeous and the A/C units they had in the tents weren't too bad either!

This last Tuesday we spent the morning hiking to the Wind Caves. On our way to the top there was a dead rattle snake on the trail. However, its head was hidden under a bush, so Mark had to throw a couple of rocks at it first before we passed. When we got to the top there was a couple sitting inside the cave. So we hung out above the cave on until we couldn't hear them talking anymore. We spent a few minutes taking pictures and looking around. Then as we rounded the corner to the other cave (on the right in the picture) we saw that the couple had moved onto a shelf in the cave. Needless to say that as we left Mark said that he saw them wiping their mouths.... yep, they were totally making out!... then they did the whole "oh, I guess we better get down" thing. Ha ha... so funny!

Also, this was our last week of church softball seeing as how we met the double elimination requirement. Oh well, there are always other church sports!

  1. Hey there, I just found your blog on Adam and Eden's. Maybe we can be buddies. Sounds like you had a fun July, and don't worry, they play softball in the fall too.
