Camping Champions

We were very lucky to receive camping equipment as a wedding gift! We felt bad keeping them tucked away in storage... so the sensible thing to do was pull them out and give them a whirl. The fact that we had a ward camp out gave us an opportunity to give them a test run. We had a great time getting to know more of our ward members and we were very pleased with how our gear worked. So we decided to brave the elements and join our friends up Logan Canyon for another camping adventure. We arrived at our camp site around 9:00 because we attended an Open House in Tremonton earlier (Congrats to Anthony and Brittany). We roasted hot dogs, ate pasta salad, and watermelon for dinner. We spent the evening sitting around the camp fire chatting and listening to memories from high school via Mark, Braiden, Katie, Gavin, and Ryan.

The next day we ate an amazing dutch oven breakfast. Then the boys decided they wanted to chop down a tree... I guess they were trying to show off their strength... anyway they had a good time. Following clean up we ventured into the land of mosquitos to see who could get more mosquito bites. I think I won. We hiked around for about an hour and a half crossing the river three times, then we decided we had had enough of the pesky buggers and headed home.

Thanks everyone for such a fun trip! We need to go again soon!!
